Clicker boxer dog training is an amazing technique. It is easy to learn, and is a powerful training tool. This training method is useful for dog obedience training to shape good behavior and discourage bad behavior. Clicker boxer dog training is based on both classical and operant conditioning. You must remember that your dog wants to make you happy and he responds to praise and treats so much more positively than fear and violence. Clicker boxer dog training is a highly precise technique and a tremendously effective way of communicating with your dog irrespective of age, gender or breed. It is a method of boxer dog training that almost entirely uses the concept of positive reinforcement to teach your dog to enjoy learning. Positive reinforcement and clicker do not involve aggressive corrections in the training such as hitting your dog, shouting at him or getting annoyed. Training Keep training sessions short so they will be fun for you and your dog and they will be easier to evaluate. During the first sessions of clicker training it is best to stay close to your dog so that the click and treat and praise can be given almost simultaneously. As your dog becomes more used to this type of training you can begin to delay the reward part of the training which will allow you to start training your dog at a distance, giving you the ability to control your dog when he is off the leash. The basic initial exercises may include commands such as sit, stay, down, heel, wait or any other commands that will make your life as a dog owner easier and help to ensure the safety of your pet. However, if you are dealing with any type of aggression issues with your pet such as growling, biting, snarling etc then you might require more advanced dog behavior training. I have been invovlved in boxer dog training and obedience for many years and I can honestly say that using a clicker is by far teh most effective method. I have trained the ‘untrainable’ dog, boxers that were thought to be too old, too young, too daft yet the results have been spectacular with a clicker. It gives me great pleasure to pass on the knowledge and watch happy owners with happy well behaved pets enjoying their lives together.

House Training A Dog Quickly

There is a lot to consider when you are house training a dog, from toilet training to teaching it not to get up on the furniture. But it is not just the dog that needs to be learning from you – you need to be learning how to train the dog.

Possibly the most common mistake that new dog trainers make when teaching a dog for the first time is to shout a lot… but often this doesn’t work as well as you would like. For example when toilet training a dog you might think that shouting at it when it chooses to relieve itself inside is a good idea. However there are two reasons this doesn’t work

1) Shouting will cause the dog to think that it is wrong to relieve itself when you are there, a backwards step if you want to take it out on a walk or to the garden to relieve itself.

2) Dogs can’t understand that something they did previously is wrong, so if you shout at them for relieving themselves when you weren’t there they won’t understand what you are talking about – even if you ‘rub their noses in it’

Positive Reinforcement is the Answer

Unlike negative training, positive reinforcement is something that boxers instinctively understand. They like to be rewarded with fuss and treats (such as food) when they do something right – and they learn very quickly from such rewards and are keen to earn them again.

House training a dog takes time for the boxers to learn what you want, but research has shown that positive, not negative, reinforcement is the best way forward – positive gets results quickly, by contrast it seems that negative methods of training a dog can be slower and less accurate.

Dog Training Advice- What it takes to train your dog properly!

Hey guys Allan here. Here is some boxer dog training advice to help you dog lovers get the ball rolling with training your dog! Pay very close attention to these tips!

Being Enthusiastic- It is extremely important to make positive reinforcement the foundation of your boxer dog training. While you spend time training your dog you need to make sure that the dog is learning but also having fun with the training. So you must be happy and energetic all the time. That way your dog will be excited and will like the training sessions. Try not to show anger or discouragement in front of your dog. Give your dog rewards and praise if your dog completes a task or shows good behavior.

Firm Voice – When you give commands to your dog, use a firm deep voice. Use a happy soft voice when he completes tasks or displays behavior.

Best Time To Begin Training- There is some boxer dog training advice out there that recommends letting your dog reach a certain age before you start training your pup. The optimal time to train your boxer puppy is about 6-8weeks old. They also say you can start even earlier depending on the breed. I strongly recommend you train the dog right away once you learn how to do it properly. When is the best time to train a dog? The answer is when the dog is untrained.

No Punishing – I know it may be really hard sometimes to resist scolding or punishing your dog but do not do it! Many people will recommend negative reinforcement training to train your dog. This is the absolute worst boxer dog training advice. Yelling, scolding and punishing creates a relationship based on fear. Your dog will be more reluctant to obey future commands and will be confused and afraid. This will ultimately hinder the learning process which is counterproductive and just down right mean don’t you think?

Be Calm and Patience- Dog Training is fun. But I’m sure you already know that you will have your frustrating moments. In these moments you must stay calm and be patient with your dog. Understand that they are trying and it may take longer for them to learn some tasks. Even if it seems like they should be catching on quicker because it is an easy command just remember that each dog has it”s own learning pace. Just use repetition and be patient with his or her progress.

More Dog Training Advice- Your Training Sessions

Brief But Focused Training Sessions- Do not tire your dog with hours upon hours of training everyday. You need to keep you training sessions brief. 15-30 minutes tops. But they still need to be quality and packed with great training techniques so your dog can get a lot out of your training. So keep your training sessions short but concentrated. This will help shorten the learning curve for your dog tremendously

Also start off with simple commands first and build up to the more advance commands. Remember to praise your dog and give your dog treats as rewards when he or she learns and completes a task. Also after a training session, play with your dog because your dog will associate time with you as being fun which will make for a better learning experience.

Keep Your Dog Focused – Dogs that aren’t trained can get easily distracted, especially boxer puppies. It is very important for you to keep your dog’s attention by removing all distractions during your training sessions. I like finding a nice grassy spot in the backyard or a park after a walk. I also make sure I train my dog around the house so he or she becomes familiar with how I want the dog to behave in my home.

Be The One Who trains Your Dog- I always see people get boxers and do not want to take any part in training them so they enroll their boxers in training schools. Some opt to get their own dog trainer. There are 3 main disadvantages to doing that. Firstly you miss the opportunity to develop the bond between you and your dog and that bonding is crucial for the dog to see you as his or her leader. Secondly, your dog will not be fully understand how “you” want him or her to behave and live in your household. Thirdly, boxer dog training schools and trainers are pretty expensive nowadays. Some even charge for just boxer dog training advice and tips.

Get Quality Dog Training Advice- You’re probably thinking that you don’t know the first thing about training a dog. That’s understandable because I didn’t know when I first started out either but I learned by reading quality boxer dog training books. There are some great books out there that teach you everything that you need to know about boxer dog training, dog grooming, dog health, dog diet.

I found the best boxer dog training info online because I read someone’s review on the books and what they included and if it was a positive review I got the book. Just make sure you are getting complete and quality boxer dog training advice and you will get your pup trained in not time!

I hope you found this helpful! So long and say hello to your doggy for me!

Learn How to Teach Your Dog to Be at His Best Behavior – Dog Training Strategies Used for Dog Training Treats to Reward Good Dog Behavior

Dogs are like people, in terms of how they view treats. If giving people things they like makes them more determined to complete a task, giving dog training treats to your pooch whenever he does something right, will motivate him to repeat that good behavior. Though some dogs are easily motivated when praised by their owners, more pooches prefer to be given a dog training reward for them to respond positively to their trainer or their owners.

Giving dog training treats to a dog that has done something good is a part of positive dog training. When training your dog and you see that he followed your command, or he responded positively, it is a must to give him dog training treats as a way to motivate him to continue following your orders, or for him to view what he earlier did as something positive that he should repeat.

A chew bone is a good example of a dog training reward you can use. You may also use praise as a form of reward. However, faster results are said to arise when you immediately give your pooch dog training treats compared to merely praising him for behaving properly.

Examples of good treats for dogs aside from the above mentioned chew bone include: your dog’s favorite toy, special food for your pooch, and so on.

Here is how you can use positive dog training when training your dog:

1. Prepare the treats and place them in your pocket or in a container you easily have access to during training.

2. Next, command your pooch. The most common commands are: ‘Sit’, ‘Stay’, ‘Fetch’, and the likes.

3. While commanding your dog, hold the dog training treats in your hands where your pet can see them.

4. Keep on repeating the command while showing her the treats, but make sure that those treats are out of your dog’s reach.

5. As soon as your pooch follows your order, immediately give him a piece of treat and follow it up with praise.

6. Repeat the procedure for a couple of times. Don’t forget to give your furry friend a dog training reward whenever he successfully performs your order.

7. Do the procedure again for the succeeding days to ensure that your pooch remembers what you have taught him.

Dog training treats may also be used during activities that do not fall under the category of training your dog. For instance, if you are about to give your pooch vitamins or medication, and you notice that your pooch tries to escape or to hide, you can make use dog training reward to make your dog look forward to medicine or vitamin intake.

After successfully giving your pooch the medication, you can give him a tasty treat. Do that every time your pooch drinks vitamins, or medicine, for your pet to learn that vitamin or medication drinking can be a pleasant experience.

When training your dog, another important tip in positive dog training is to eventually replace those dog training treats with praises, so that your dog will learn not to always expect dog training reward after your pooch obeys you. From time to time, you can reinforce by handing out dog training treats to your doggie, but, once you see that your pet once again obeys you continuously, stick once more to praise giving instead of treat giving.

Positive dog training really works. When utilizing dog training treats, however, you should make sure that those treats vary. It is best to combine dog training reward with treat giving. You also have to give your pooches good quality treats. Want to learn how to teach your dog to be at his best behavior?

Answer by Mary A
Pay attention to the dog! When does he poo? Is it when he wakes up, or after he eats? You can if you pay attention, find a pattern, Then, let him out when it is time, when he is done reward him and bring him inside.
But, as a side note, this is not a BIG problem. I have basset hounds, it wuld be a big problem with them! (Sorry, I could not resist a little joke!)

Making Plans for a New Dog Training program – Choose Right Dog Training Method for your New Dog & Which Dog Training Tools Work Best

Adding a dog to your household can be very exciting. Suddenly you have a new and entertaining personality as part of your family who looks at you with unconditional love. However, a new dog is not all sunshine and daisies. The truth is that if you want to make the addition of your dog as positive as possible you are going to want to take some time to adequately train your dog. The truth is that training your dog does not have to be a difficult process. With the right boxer dog training tools you can make the training process as easy as possible.

Dog training tools can be very helpful in aiding you to properly train your dog. There are many different types of tools on the market. With all of that variety you may find yourself struggling to narrow down your choices. The best option is really to narrow down your training focus, and that will help to inform which boxer dog training tools you should be purchasing.

One of the first boxer dog training tools that you should purchase is a dog collar. In most states it is required that you dog wear a collar with their tags on it, and often the dog collar is what you attach your dog’s leash to. However, a proper training collar can really help in your training efforts. Many professional trainers will recommend that you look into purchasing a choke or prong collar. However, you need to make sure that if you are planning on using one of those collars that you receive the proper instructions regarding their proper use. The last thing that you want to do with boxer dog training tools is to hurt your dog. Be sure to speak with your trainer as to how they recommend that you should be using a training collar.

A leash is another one of the essential boxer dog training tools that you should have. Your leash is probably going to be one of the most often used tools that you have in your possession. There are many different types of leashes available to dog owners. When you are just beginning to train your dog you are going to want to steer clear of retractable leashes. Instead you will want to choose a basic leash to start with. You are going to want to begin with a leash that is six feet long. Additionally, you want to make sure that your leash has a nice strong clip to attach it to your dog’s collar. As your training progresses you may need to purchase additional leashes for different purposes, but when you are starting out a six foot leash is the most important starting tool.

Dogs respond to positive reinforcement very well so you will want to purchase some sort of bait that they will like. Food is a great choice for many different boxers. However, if you do not want to use food there are other boxer dog training tools that you can utilize as bait. Some trainers may suggest you use verbal affirmation or even a constant sound like a clicker to let your dog know that they are doing the right thing. However, if you do decide to utilize food as a bait for your dog you will want to take care to use small bits of food. You should only have pieces of food that are about the size of a dime to reward your dog with. Not only will those small bites help to keep your dog focused on what they are doing, but it will also keep your dog food bills within reason.

Though toys are not essential boxer dog training tools they can be incredibly helpful in the process. Your dog, especially if they are a boxer puppy, is going to need a break at times from the training. Toys can really help you to give your dog a break. By letting your dog play with a toy for a few minutes will allow them to take a quick break so that they can work off any excess energy. Additionally, you can incorporate the use of a toy to help you work on some skills with your dog. For example, when you are working on the stay command or the come command you can bring their favorite toy out to function as a distraction during the training process.

What about using additional training tools like a clicker or an electric shock collar? If you learn the proper basic boxer dog training methods, there is absolutely no need for a shock collar. Some of the other tools can be handy and you will need to decide on an individual basis if they are right for you and your dog.

The most important thing is to find a method that both you and your dog can enjoy together and a method that gets results. Both you and your dog will live a happier and safer life with proper boxer dog training.

Question by Jamie: Questions on Pet Tabs and HOUSE TRAINING a house trained dog!!?
When my family adopted our dog from the shelter they gave us pet tabs. Is this a good vitiman for the dog or should i switch to another??

Also the dog is mostly potty trained (he goes every time we put him out) but he had one accident while we were in the house. My mom and i were literaly five feet away and all the sudden BOOM!

When we leave we put him in his room with the doggy gate up, and when we come back he has gone pee. We only leave him for an hour or hour and a half at the most. Some times he pees other times he goes 2 hours and doesnt pee. Is he upset cause we are leaving him so he pees?

Thing is know he can hold it because he sleeps in my bed and he never ever wakes me up to go potty in the night he has waited till morning.

Should we do crate training for a while? or just continue leaving him in his room??

We have had him for Five days, and he is a pomeranian about 5 years. Please answer all questions if you can!

thanks !!

Best answer:

Answer by Spay and Neuter saves lives
Your dog may have peed in the house because of nerves. He is still adjusting to the new home.

Yes he should be crated. Dogs are sometimes anxious or nervous about being left alone and may potty in the house because of it.

Pet tabs.. most boxers honestly dont need vitamins, if they are healthy and eating a high quality diet. If this dog is abit underweight tho, or not eating well, the added vitamins may be beneficial to the dog.. it doesnt matter what brand they are.

I have always taken my boxers out for a little “relief” right after a meal and immediately after any play sessions in the house. If they get hyper because companuy comes then take them out right away. Praise them whenever they do ANYTHING outside. My dog is 7 years old and she still looks up at me for praise when she poops outside.
