Boxer Dogs: Great Addition To Any Family

boxer dogOver the years, more and more people start to appreciate the boxer dog breed. As time progresses you see more families show interest in the breed and the benefits that it has to offer. Boxers are kind and loving dogs and are the ideal choice for many families that are looking for a family pet. More people fall in love with the cute personality that the boxer dog breed offers.

With time, we start to notice that more people bring boxers into their homes. Boxers are unique in their own way and because of that more people choose to bring them into their family. In general boxers are very friendly and happy dogs. They are play full and love the company of other people. Of course if you want your boxer to behave properly among strangers or new guests, you will have to properly socialize them. However, this should be no problem since boxers enjoy the company of other people.

Boxers are part of the larger dog breed group. And because of that, the boxer dog breed requires a good amount of exercise if you want them to be healthy. Of course exercising their bodies isn’t enough. You will also have to keep their minds busy, because they can go from a cute loving puppy to a destructive dog fairly quickly if they are constantly bored or left home alone for long periods of times. Of course that is true with many other dogs and doesn’t mean that all boxers are like that. If you don’t keep your boxer dog busy, he will find other ways to keep himself busy.

Of course they are not known for being destructive little rascals. Boxers get their reputations from being big dogs with kind and loyal hearts. These dogs may look aggressive on the outside, but inside they are sweet dogs who just want to be friends with everyone they meet. If you spend any time at all with a boxer dog, you will quickly learn that they have friendly personalities.

However, this doesn’t mean that boxers can’t hold their own when they feel threatened. The boxer dog breed is a powerful dog breed and should not be messed with. They don’t take kindly to uninvited strangers and are very protective of their owner and their family. Some boxers are still used today as police dogs and guard dogs, so you know that this breed is tough.

Training boxers can sometimes come to a halt because of their stubbornness. Fortunately for you, you can easily train your boxer dog with the right approach. They are very smart dogs but, don’t like repeating themselves. If you ask them to sit over and over again eventually they will stop and look at you with a puzzled look wondering why you want them to keep doing it. Because of their stubbornness, boxers are considered to be hard to train dogs, but in reality they are easily trained.
